Meet Annapolis Criminal Defense Attorney J. Eric Gibson
A wholistic approach to protecting clients in Maryland
You’re probably not going to need an attorney all that often. When you do, don’t you want one who can handle anything you throw at him?
My name is Eric Gibson, and I’ve been helping people in need for the last 21 years. Whether you’re facing a criminal charge or need help modifying a child custody order, you deserve an attorney who has the skills, resources and experience to create a path forward. I’ve taken hundreds of cases to trial, and that’s important because it proves I will never force you to accept a plea or settle for less than you deserve.
I have represented police officers and their families throughout Maryland, as well as civilians. I have worked as an appointed attorney with the District Court Commissioners’ Office, and am currently a Hearing Officer with the Department of Justice, where I render opinions on claims that have been denied. I also work with the Office of Justice Assistance, which helps local criminal justice systems run more smoothly.
Why? Because I believe that the best way to protect my clients is to the protect the system itself. The justice systems, both civil and criminal, are where everyone is supposed to get a fair shake. I want to make sure the people who come to me for help have the best possible chance at justice – no matter what they’re up against. It is my philosophy that clients need to be engaged in that process, and in their own futures, at every step. It’s why I communicate with clients constantly: I want to make sure that you have all the information you need to make an informed decision about your path forward.
When I’m not in the office, you might find me out on the water or taking my motorcycle for a ride. You might also find me traveling or camping with my extraordinary wife of 25 years and our children.
